I had a solid experience at the San Diego Marriott Gaslamp Quarter. The location is fantastic, allowing easy access to restaurants and attractions. My room was comfortable and clean, but I did find some areas that needed improvement, especially regarding the air conditioning and room maintenance.

My room was spacious with a view of the baseball field. It felt clean, and the bed was comfortable, but the air conditioning struggled to keep the room cool during my stay.

Most staff members were friendly and helpful, though I encountered a few who seemed a bit disinterested at times. The valet service could definitely be improved, as there were issues with car authorization.

I had a great weekend at the San Diego Marriott Gaslamp Quarter! Its location was perfect, right in the heart of all the action with restaurants and the ballpark nearby. The staff was incredibly friendly and always responsive, especially through the app's chat feature. However, the elevators could be slow at times, and I missed having a pool to relax by after a long day of exploring.

Rooms

Dining

The breakfast options were decent but a bit limited, reminiscent of what you'd find at budget hotels. Good enough to start the day, but not lovely.
Facilities

While the hotel is nice, it lacks some amenities like a pool. The rooftop bar was lively but took away from the elevator efficiency, which was a downside.

I had a mixed experience at the San Diego Marriott Gaslamp Quarter. While the location was fantastic and the staff was friendly, the facilities felt dated and could use some upgrades. My room was tidy, but the bathroom was small and had some maintenance issues. Overall, it was a decent stay, but not quite what I expected from a Marriott.

Rooms
6.0
The room was okay and clean, but the bed wasn’t comfortable, and the bathroom was dated with an old tub and no place to hang towels. The lack of a modern shower setup was disappointing, and I noticed the TV was quite small.
Service
7.0
Most of the staff were friendly and helpful, especially the kitchen staff who went out of their way to assist. However, I did encounter some rudeness from certain staff members, which was frustrating.
Location
9.0
The location in the Gaslamp Quarter was perfect, close to Petco Park and many restaurants and clubs. It was great for exploring downtown San Diego, making it easy to enjoy local attractions.
Dining
6.0
I found the breakfast options to be simple but adequate for a quick meal, although I felt the dining experience could be improved with a wider selection.
Facilities

The hotel lacked some of the facilities I expected, like a concierge lounge and daily housekeeping. The valet service was also lacking; I had some issues with car retrieval that could be improved.

My stay at the San Diego Marriott Gaslamp Quarter was filled with both highs and lows. The location is unbeatable, right in the heart of the Gaslamp with easy access to restaurants and sights. However, I encountered some disappointments with the room cleanliness and service. Despite these issues, I appreciated the comfortable bedding and delicious breakfast served at the on-site restaurant.

I recently stayed at the San Diego Marriott Gaslamp Quarter and overall, I had a good experience. The location can't be beat, right in the heart of the Gaslamp Quarter, making it easy to explore nearby restaurants and attractions. The hotel had a clean feel, but I did notice a few areas that could use improvement, like the smaller TV in my room and some dated bathroom fixtures.

Rooms
